Family holiday in winter

The most beautiful time in the Hohe Tauern National Park Region in SalzburgerLand

When the landscape is covered in a white dress, the region is transformed into a winter wonderland, offering numerous opportunities for families to have an unforgettable time.

The region is known for its excellent ski areas, which are suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. In the ski schools, children can learn to ski in a playful way while their parents take to the slopes.

But there are also numerous activities off the slopes that families can enjoy together. A toboggan ride through the snow-covered landscape is an unforgettable experience for young and old. Snowshoe hikes and ice skating are also very popular with families.

Tobogganing with the whole family

For those who like to glide down into the valley sitting down, our many toboggan runs, e.g. in the Wildkogel Arena, are just the right place. This is where the world's longest illuminated toboggan run starts, a whopping 14 kilometres long, which is open daily until 10 pm. Double-seater toboggans for adults and children can be rented directly at the valley stations.
