In summer you can explore the breathtaking mountain world of the National Park region on extensive hikes. On hundreds of perfectly marked hiking trails in 13 National Park valleys you will find the most beautiful alpine pastures where you will be spoiled with fine delicacies. If you are looking for a little more action, you can also try biking, climbing or rafting.

In winter, the National Park region turns into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Here you will find some of the best skiing areas in Austria with countless kilometres of pistes. But there are also many opportunities for fun and adventure off the slopes, such as snowshoeing, ice skating, cross-country skiing or tobogganing.

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most beautiful and spectacular Alpine roads in Europe and offers you breathtaking views of the majestic peaks and glaciers of the Hohe Tauern on your journey.

Tip: With the National Park SommerCard, the day admission to the Großglockner High Alpine Road Adventure World and a day ticket for the Gerlos Alpine Road are included.

Nationalpark SommerCard

With the Nationalpark SommerCard, you have the opportunity to make particularly intensive use of the region's diverse range of offers from 1 May to 31 October. As a guest at one of the participating partner establishments, you will receive the SommerCard from your host, with which you can visit and use one of 60 different attractions such as sights, museums and natural spectacles, leisure and sports facilities and mountain railways every day. The card also offers you maximum mobility as it entitles you to use local public transport. A special highlight is the one-day admission to the Großglockner High Alpine Road Adventure World and a one-day ticket for the Gerlos Alpine Road, which are already included in the price.
