HOHE TAUERN BIKE TRAIL - ROUTE
14 National Park valleys – your destination
The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail begins in the very east of the National Park, in Großarltal. From there, it follows a perfectly signposted route across the entire National Park region before reaching its western finish at the Krimml Waterfalls.
In between lie 530 unforgettable kilometres and 12,000 metres of elevation gain, shaped by wild waters and accompanied by breathtaking views of the snow-capped giants of Hohe Tauern National Park – from Hoher Sonnblick and Großglockner to Kitzsteinhorn and Großvenediger. The full route is designed as a 14-day tour.
With a maximum of 1,250 metres of elevation gain or 50 kilometres per stage, the trail is ideal for multi-day adventures. The route can be ridden on an e-MTB, XC hardtail, full-suspension bike or gravel bike (recommended minimum requirement for e-MTBs: 625 Wh battery, motor output of at least 70 Nm).
