Signage on the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail

Route layout & navigation

The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail runs exclusively along official mountain bike routes, designated cycle paths and public (secondary) roads. The route uses only approved and authorised trails.

Signage is consistent along the entire Hohe Tauern Bike Trail, with dedicated “Hohe Tauern Bike Trail” signposts guiding riders from stage to stage, from Hüttschlag to Krimml. On certain sections, the route is additionally or alternatively marked by the official bike guidance system with corresponding pictograms. Below you will find examples of the 20 × 20 cm signs installed along the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail, as well as the pictograms used.
