The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail takes you across 14 stages and 530 kilometres through the Hohe Tauern National Park region in SalzburgerLand. The route leads past impressive glaciers, crystal-clear mountain lakes and picturesque National Park valleys.

From Hüttschlag in Großarltal to the Krimml Waterfalls, the trail offers varied sections for ambitious e-bikers and mountain bikers alike. Along the way, traditional alpine huts and inns invite you to enjoy regional specialities and authentic local cuisine.

Majestically rising to 3,798 metres, the Großglockner – Austria’s highest mountain – spreads its protective flanks above Hohe Tauern National Park. Cool glacier winds sweep down from the Schmiedingerkees to Salzburg’s highest panoramic platform, while the Krimml Waterfalls – Europe’s largest waterfalls – thunder hundreds of metres into the valley below. With 266 peaks over 3,000 metres and 342 glaciers, nature plays a defining role in the 18 villages and 13 valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region.
