The unique and pristine alpine natural and cultural landscape around the Hohe Tauern National Park stretches from around 1,000 m above sea level to the 3,798 m summit of the Großglockner. From the westernmost point of the province of Salzburg to Hüttschlag in the Grossarl Valley, it forms a magnificent holiday region with 18 villages in the south of the province of Salzburg.
