Ten new worlds

The Hohe Tauern National Park Worlds will open ten new exhibition rooms in Mittersill in May 2024. The reopening of the popular exhibition is far more than just a facelift. Although visitor attractions such as the 360° cinema or the eagle flight panorama will remain, they are embedded in a completely new narrative concept. You can explore "Marmot & Co" as well as the "Peaks from the Seabed" or "Wild Waters". Emotionally, you follow the path from the highest spheres of the national park down to the alpine pastures and into the valley.

Eagle Flight: The first exhibition room presents the impressive diversity of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Its peaks, mountain ridges and valleys span over 1800 sq km.

Marmots & Co.

Marmot and Co: The Marmot and Co World highlights nature‘s creativity. As part of an interactive game, the marmot family opens its doors and welcomes visitors to explore their Alpine burrow:

3D Experience Cinema

3D cinema: In the 3D cinema of the Peaks from the Bottom of the Sea World, visitors can look forward to a new edition of the animated film depicting the formation of the Hohe Tauern‘s unique landscape, shaped by the relentless interplay of the forces of nature.

360° panoramic world: In the 360° panoramic world, visitors experience using advanced technology, a unique natural and peak experience from different perspectives of the Hohe Tauern National Park: from the summit, out of a crevasse, in a stream, and suspended from the Rauris virgin forest.

Water Realm: In the Water Realm World, attention centres on still waters, wetlands like moors and the myriad streams that are the lifelines of the national park. The invigorating wealth of water in the Hohe Tauern is showcased in all its forms, from delicate droplets to thundering waterfalls.
