There are many opportunities for climbers to put their skills to the test in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region.

In Neukrichen am Großvenediger, under the expert guidance of the outdoor specialist, you will receive Unterwurzacher

a thorough introduction to the world of climbing. Various basic movements, the use of the rope and belaying techniques are taught on the via ferrata. In the municipality of Uttendorf/Weissee there are several

offers for children. Probably the most difficult via ferrata in Austria, the "Kristall-Klettersteig" (difficulty level E) challenges climbers over a length of about 400 m and a difference in altitude of 150 m. There is also the beginner's via ferrata "Kronprinz Rudolf" with difficulty level B/C and a length of about 300 m. Those who prefer to climb indoors can do so on the indoor climbing wall in the Berghotel Rudolfshütte. There is also a 200m² bouldering area in the Boulderhalle Glacier Sun and the Boulder Park at the bathing lake area.

The via ferratas in the Taxenbach Kitzlochklamm are selective and creatively designed and offer a challenge for experienced climbers. The Klammblick via ferrata is a great experience for families who already have experience and knowledge of climbing. The via ferrata is doable with a length of 150 metres and a difficulty level of B/C. The Kitz via ferrata in the Kitzlochklamm is a modern and sporty challenging climbing experience (not for families with children or beginners). With a length of 300 metres, the via ferrata runs continuously in the publicly accessible Kitzlochklamm gorge and offers a selective and creative adventure.

In Kaprun there is the unique Staumauerklettersteig and the Höhenburg via ferrata arena. A state-certified mountain guide ensures the necessary safety on the guided tours.
