Bike routes in three levels of difficulty

Analogous to ski slopes, mountain bike routes are also divided into three levels of difficulty:

  • EASY (blue): These routes are not demanding in terms of riding ability. They run without exception on wide paths with good road conditions (e.g. bumpy tarred roads, good natural roads, natural roads with potholes). Gradients reach a maximum of 11 %. Easy routes are well suited for mountain bike beginners, families with children or also as a first training round after the winter break. Routes marked in blue can also be state or federal roads in the valley!

  • MEDIUM (red): These routes are more demanding in terms of riding ability. They can lead over paths with poor road conditions (e.g. natural roads with deep gullies, rough gravel paths). Gradients of up to 15 % are possible.
  • HEAVY (black): These routes place high demands on riding skills. Difficult routes can lead over paths with very rough ground, terrain steps, tight curves and at the same time also have steep gradients of more than 15 %. Such routes are reserved for fit mountain bikers with excellent riding technique.
