Green Spirit - climate-friendly and stress-free on the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail

The place to arrive on the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail

The new Hohe Tauern Bike Trail runs through the largest protected area in the Alps, the Hohe Tauern National Park. In addition, its destination – the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region – is one of only a few regions in Austria to be certified with the Austrian Eco-Label. In order to fulfil this promise of sustainability, we have created the “Green Spirit” package for the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail. It is aimed at cycling enthusiasts for whom sustainability and climate protection are just as important on holiday as unforgettable experiences – and who also wish to enjoy the comfort of a stress-free arrival and departure by train. A truly special offer that establishes the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail as a beacon for sustainable outdoor travel.

Green Spirit is defined by the organisation of arrival and departure by train to the holiday region, the associated services such as a convenient station shuttle, and the inclusion of regional cuisine as well as small, family-run accommodations. Combined with the optional bike rental – ideal for those who prefer to travel by train without their own bike – Green Spirit represents a well-balanced and holistic sustainable holiday package. This commitment is underlined by the transparent presentation of the certified ecological footprint. This is what the future of mountain bike travel looks like.

Green Spirit is the answer for those who wish to travel more responsibly and in a climate-friendly way in times of global climate change. Three route sections that are ideally accessible by train are available to choose from. The experienced team of Trail Angels at the official Hohe Tauern Bike Trail information and booking centre will be happy to support you in planning and realising your sustainable bike week – from tips on the best train connections to the wide range of climate-friendly services on offer.
