National Park Drechselstube

Krimml

This old woodturning hut near Trisslalm in Wildgerlostal valley has been restored and put into use again, thanks to a joint project by the Mittersill polytechnical school and national park administration. Until the 1960s, various everyday objects made from pinewood were turned here.
This excursion along the Leitenkammerklamm gorge will teach participants interesting facts about all things pine – its properties, characteristics, wood and manner of processing, the ancient art of woodturning and much more.
